Kay Martin has served as Superintendent and Chief Executive Officer of Francis Tuttle Technology Center since December 1996 having, held several management positions since 1982.
Prior to Kay's employment with Francis Tuttle, she was an assistant professor of marketing for the University of Central Arkansas. She received her doctorate from The Ohio State University majoring in vocational education, teacher education, marketing and research; her master's degree from the University of Central Arkansas majoring in business education; and her bachelor degree from Emporia Kansas University majoring in business education.
Kay is a member of the Edmond Chamber of Commerce having served on the Board of Directors, Executive Board and Advisory Board. She is a graduate of Leadership Edmond and Leadership Oklahoma. Kay serves on the Board of Directors for the Central OK Regional Leadership Institute; the Board of Directors for the Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES); the Board of Directors for the Kirkpatrick Science and Air Space Museum (Omniplex); the Board of Directors for the OK Commission for Educational Leadership; and is a 2004 graduate of the FBI Citizen's Academy. She is a past President of the National Council of Local Administrators Board of Directors, and past President of the OK Technology Centers Superintendents' Association. Kay has been named the Oklahoma Outstanding Administrator and the Oklahoma Association for Career and Technology Education's Educator of the Year and Outstanding Administrator. She is a two time nominee for the Journal Record's Woman of the Year Award, and recipient of the Friends of Career & Technology Education's Equity Award.
