As Chief Technology Officer, Russ Hester manages the Information Technology Services department, the eLearning Services department, oversees District technology research and development, and serves as technology advisor to the leadership team.
Russ has worked in the Information Technology field since 1980 in the following roles: Software design and development, technology training, database administration, project management, IT consulting and IT management. Over the years, Russ founded and sold numerous technology businesses including several eCommerce online retail stores. Prior to employment at Francis Tuttle, Russ worked for The American Education Corporation where he was responsible for the creation and implementation of A+ University, an online technology training organization.
In terms of community service interests, Russ serves on the Board of Directors for HeartLine; The Gatekeeper program of Oklahoma County; The Volunteer Center of Central Oklahoma; and the Oklahoma 2-1-1 call center. Russ also serves as program advisor for the Last Frontier Council/Learning for Life program. Russ holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and a M.Ed. in Technology and Design from Jones International University. Russ holds an online instructor certification from the University of Phoenix, an Oklahoma School Superintendent Certification and a provisional Technology Center Administrator Certificate.
