Francis Tuttle Students Boost Relief Efforts

By Jeff Knapp

January 10, 2005

Francis Tuttle students in the Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Club & Teaching Factory conducted a food drive during November and December and collected 1,970 pounds of food and comfort items to assist relief efforts for hurricane victims in Florida, who continue to suffer.

Students were awarded a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation from Feed the Children for their efforts in surpassing donation goals. Feed the Children had agreed to ship all donations to the victims as soon as the drive was completed.

Currently, Francis Tuttle Culinary Arts students are accepting donations of non-perishable items for Southeast Asia tsunami relief efforts. Donations may be dropped off at either Francis Tuttle campus, 12777 N. Rockwell or 3500 N.W. 150th.
