Scholarships on the Internet

A number of organizations offer additional scholarships on the Internet.




Francis Tuttle scholarships are subject to availability. While we will do our best to assist you as we can, Francis Tuttle cannot guarantee the receipt of scholarships. Cox Connects Foundation Education Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial support to graduating high school seniors, current undergraduate students and adult parents re-entering the classroom in their educational endeavors. These scholarships are specific to students whose permanent home mailing address is in a Cox Communications service area. Special consideration is given to students who have excelled despite their obstacles and adversities. Applications will be accepted Jan. 7 through March 3, 2008 with funding determination in May. DATATEL Scholars Foundation Scholarship

Applications available online at www.datatel.com/dsf. Deadline usually middle of February. For more information, contact the Datatel Foundation at 1.800.486.4332 or at scholars@datatel.com.


Edmond Women's Club

Apply at the Career Planning Center through the Financial Aid Office or request application from EWC office at 405.340.2550. Scholarship is intended for Women who live in Edmond, are Citizens of the U.S., are at least 25 years old and have demonstrated financial need. This scholarship will pay up to $500 for tuition and books only. Applications are available in October.

Executive Women International

Apply at the Career Planning Center through the Financial Aid Office. Assistance is for Women who are in transitional situations and need financial assistance to further their career. Assistance may be used for tuition, day care, books and seminars. Applications usually available by the first of February.

Superintendent's Scholarship Program

Apply with Career Planning Center Cluster Advisor "prior to enrollment." Scholarship program is to recognize high achieving individuals. Scholarship will pay Francis Tuttle tuition for qualified individuals.


Next Step Tuition-Waiver Scholarship

The Next Step Tuition-Waiver Scholarship offers qualifying high school students in Francis Tuttle Technology Center's school district up to two (2) semesters of full-time or part-time tuition for long-term programs. Scholarship recipients will be required to pay for books, clothing and any other materials or fees required by that program. Oklahoma Association for Minorities in Career & Technology Education (OAMCTE)

Funding is to provide assistance to African-American students who plan to pursue a career in Vocational-Technical Education. Request application from Career Planning Center or contact OAMCTE Scholarship Committee Chair, Carolyn Williams at 405.424.8324, Ext. 440. Deadline is usually late May.


Oklahoma City Community Foundation Scholarship "New Opportunities Non-Traditional Scholar" Award.

Applications reviewed quarterly (March, June, September, and December). Applications available through the Career Planning Center. Tuition assistance ($500 per semester) must be applied to college or university costs. Students must have completed their training at Francis Tuttle to be eligible.

Military Tuition Waiver

The Military Tuition Waiver offers full tuition to qualifying members of the U.S. military who have served in active duty in the wartime military engagements known as the Gulf War, the Afghanistan Conflict, and /or the Iraqi Conflict.  Students must be Oklahoma residents enrolled in a Career Training program.  Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office or by clicking here.

Oklahoma National Guard Fee Waiver

Fee Waiver forms may be obtained at the Francis Tuttle Career Planning Center. Fee Waiver is intended for eligible members of the Oklahoma Air and Army National Guard and is for career-track programs only. The Waiver is for students who attend 12 or more hours a week.


Oklahoma Vocational and Technical Foundation, Inc.: Otha Grimes Memorial and Francis Tuttle Scholarship Application

The Financial Aid office will announce when applications are available: normally in late August for the fall and late January for the spring. Scholarship is targeted for students who do not receive other tuition assistance. Award amounts are determined by the Foundation.

Professional Women of AT&T Scholarship Program

Apply at the Financial Aid Office. The purpose of this award is to recognize females re-entering the workforce or single mothers. Students must demonstrate financial need and should be enrolled in the Manufacturing, Business, or IT programs. The scholarship pays up to $500 for books/tuition for the fall and spring semesters only.


State of Oklahoma Nursing Assistance Program Physicians Manpower

After acceptance into the Practical Nursing Program, apply through the Francis Tuttle PN Program. Program includes matching and non-matching educational assistance for Oklahoma Nursing Students. Awards for this program vary; students may receive grants or loans. Deadline is usually at the first of July. For more information call Physician Manpower Training Commission at 405.843.5667.


H.W. Almen Scholarship Fund

The West OKC Rotary has established the H. W. Almen Scholarship Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships for students graduating from high schools in Oklahoma with a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.75 to 4.00. Students should also be able to document a family income not exceeding $ 100,000 (Adjusted Gross Income on Form 1040). The deadline is February 28, 2008. Download Application
