Respiratory Care practitioners are trained in a variety of therapeutic areas to enable them to assist with the treatment of individuals with pulmonary and cardiac disorders. Respiratory Care professionals are very involved in critical care, neonatal care, home health care, skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation. Entry to the profession requires an associate degree.

Respiratory Care graduates earn an average wage of $20.00 an hour upon graduation.

Tuition Rates

Tuition is $2,100 per year for full-time students and $1050 per year for part-time evening students.
Students in the second year of the curriculum pay $84/credit hour for tuition.
Online course tuition is $100 per credit hour.
Total tuition for the program: Full-time (22 mo.) -- $3,444; Part-time Evening (34 mo.) -- $3.444; CRT-to-RRT, Part-time Online (600-680 clock hours) -- $1,900.

Other costs include:

Textbooks (approximately $1,500)

Physical exam and immunizations (approximately $250)

Drug testing (approximately $36)

Background checks (approximately $70)

Uniforms (approximately $250)

Certification Exam Fee/Licensure Fees ($655)

There may be additional fees for health insurance if required by the clinical sites.


This Focus is eligible for Financial Aid for full-time and part-time students.
